From adding color to hotel lobbies to creating a vibrant story throughout the visage, stained glass can dramatically affect any space. Below, we’ve shared some exciting examples of hotel stained glass in Texas.
1. Dome Bar in El Paso, Texas
This hotel is quite unique thanks to its iconic 25-foot huge Tiffany stained glass dome with dark blue and green glass. It is built within a historic bar and lounge, and guests can enjoy craft cocktails, choice wines, and more here.
2. Menger Hotel in San Antonio
The Menger Hotel in San Antonio incorporates modern taste with neoclassical Victorian style. Its lobby is restored in a grand Neoclassical Victorian style with leaded hotel stained glass from Texas.
The lobby of Menger hotel features an oval-shaped stained glass skylight ceiling divided into eight Corinthian columns. The initial columns of this ceiling were cast irons and later redesigned with modillions, stained glass, and festoons.
3. Driskill Hotel in Austin
The Driskill Hotel is considered to be Austin’s magnificent historical landmark. Every corner of the Driskill Hotel represents a story.
In the lobby of the Driskill Hotel, there is a bright, colorful ceiling dome, much like a fish tank. The colossal sphere has a dark blue outlining, which leads to an asterisk symbol in the center. The lobby features a dome of bright yellow, dark blue, and orange stained glass.
Texas is home to some of the most beautifully-designed buildings and hotels. Stained glass installations bring the outdoor light in and create magical spaces that you won’t find anywhere else.
