Scottish Stained Glass Partners with Altar’d State for Stunning Stained Glass Display

We’re honored to announce our second stained glass project with Altar’d State! Altar’d State is a faith-based clothing retailer with locations nationwide. Each year they open new locations throughout the country, requiring fast, reliable contractors to make each of their visions happen. Their new location in Norwalk, CT features a gorgeous retail stained glass installation that we completed in two weeks. Our team of eight stained glass artisans worked night and day to ensure each curved stained glass panel had the accurate curvature and dimensions.

Altar’d State Stained Glass Project Challenges and Accomplishments

In order to execute these curved stained glass panels, we had to create custom wooden forms for each panel. Positive and negative forms were created so that both sides of the leaded glass could be worked on. We had to cut the glass into certain shapes so that the circular design could be achieved. We had to place an emphasis on design to ensure no cracking would occur during the manufacturing and installation process. The biggest challenge of this project was that we only had two weeks to complete it once we received the final measurements– that included design, manufacturing, shipping, and installation. Our installer flew to Connecticut to meet the stained glass shipment that was shipped in a specially designed crate to ensure the curves were supported. After working all night long to complete the installation, we were delighted that all panels fit perfectly!
